Well, here we are. Another year has past - 2005 was full of surprises for me. In many ways, it was retrospective, with the re-release of BOO, and all the attendant interest, as well as my finally nailing the material from the 70’s and 80’s on to digital format, so that I can now offer some previously unheard material for potential covers.

It’s astonishing tome that a lot of it sounds undated to me, possibly because the original versions tended to be of the unplugged variety, no fancy trimmings, and therefore fresh and timeless. My newly launched record label Ravishing Rhymes will be up and running in early January, and I am planning to issue unreleased material, as well as new stuff, on that from now on.

But of course, we cannot live in the past so here’s what’s happening next.

In January, you iTunes specialists will be able to download my songs directly to your iPod, and at the end of April BOO will be released in an exclusive paper-jacket version in Japan.

Perhaps most importantly, I am planning to record a new CD next summer: it feels long overdue, I have a myriad of new and unrecorded songs that I want to commit to posterity and am even now considering musicians and producers.

I am also keen to arrange more gigs and so Sian Evans, from On The Fly Promotions, has joined my team for 2006 to make this happen. Watch this space for some exciting news.

I'd like to thank all of you who have written to me via this site and shown so much interest in what I'm doing. It is absolutely wonderful to have all that worldwide contact. I welcome comments, enthusiasts and dare I say critics alike, feedback is all, and I do read every message.

Bye the bye, I am selling an acoustic guitar. A Jean Larrivée parlour guitar, one careful owner. Beautiful thing, needs a more proficient virtuoso than my mainly strummy self. They'll be a picture on the website soon.
